Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about our rustic accommodations in Haida Gwaii? Check our FAQs for details on what to bring, like bedding, and why this spot’s perfect for kids and dogs alike.

We provide a variety of rustic options perfect for an outdoor adventure in Haida Gwaii.

7 SMALL LONGHOUSES (500 sq. ft., sleeping up to 4-5 people with a queen bed, bunk bed, and day bed)

ONE GROUP LONGHOUSE (2400 sq. ft., sleeping 20+ with 10 bunk rooms and a shared kitchen)

TENT SITES (max 4 people per site with access to a central bathroom)

RV SITES (basic spots for up to 4 people). All are designed for a cozy, nature-immersed stay surrounded by beaches and forests.

We currently have 1 small and 1 group longhouse that are wheelchair accessible. Please keeping mind due to our rustic setting in a forested area, there will be uneven terrain and gravel paths. We recommend contacting us at (778)702-0359 to discuss specific needs, as we aim to accommodate where possible but want to ensure it’s the right fit for your adventure.

Yes, we welcome pets in designated pet-friendly longhouses— just let us know when booking so we can assign the right cabin. There’s a $10 fee per pet per night, and we ask that you keep them leashed and clean up after them to respect the natural environment and other guests enjoying Haida Gwaii’s outdoors.

Pack like you’re camping indoors: bring your own bedding, pillows, towels, and toiletries (we provide eco-friendly cleaning supplies and toilet paper). For cooking, we have basic utensils and a gas stovetop, but no fridges in small longhouses—coolers are available to rent for $10. Don’t forget rain gear, sturdy shoes for hikes, and any personal items, as we’re off-grid with limited amenities.

Hot water can be limited due to our off-grid setup—currently, there’s no hot water in the small or group longhouses, but we have a shared shower house with hot showers available. We’re working on improvements, but this rustic aspect is part of the authentic Haida Gwaii experience. Feel free to take a refreshing river dip at your own risk!

We’re off-grid with limited solar-powered electricity for basics like lights, but outages can happen—no refunds for interruptions. Cell service is spotty; you might pick up Alaskan towers leading to roaming fees, so check with your provider. No Wi-Fi means it’s a great chance to unplug and connect with Haida Gwaii’s nature instead.

Our spot is steps from endless North Beach for crabbing, beachcombing, or surfing, and a short walk to Tow Hill for hikes with ocean views. You’re surrounded by Naikoon Park trails, ancient forests, and the Hiellen River—perfect for bird watching, clam digging, or relaxing by the firepit. It’s all about easy access to Haida Gwaii’s wild adventures.

Absolutely—many families love our setup for kid-friendly adventures like beach exploring, crabbing, or roasting marshmallows by the fire. Small longhouses have bunks and space for up to 5, while the group one is great for reunions. Just note the rustic nature means no TVs or Wi-Fi, so it’s all about outdoor fun in Haida Gwaii.

Why Choose us

Enjoy the comfort of your own Haida Longhouse nestled on the northern tip of the spectacularly beautiful Islands of Haida Gwaii. Surrounded by designated park land, these Haida owned and operated longhouses offer an unforgettable outdoor adventure.

WI-FI & CELL SERVICE

There is no wi-fi in the forest, but we promise you will find a deeper connection. Limited cell service is available, but please be aware when using your phone, sometimes you pick up an Alaskan service provider, and this will result in high roaming charges with most providers. Check with your phone service provider to see if they offer network coverage that reaches Haida Gwaii.
